IDEA Early Intervention Program (Part C)
Overview:
Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act requires every state to provide free early intervention evaluation and services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays from birth to age 3. Services are delivered in the child's natural environment, such as the home or childcare setting. Differentiator: federal legal entitlement, not a single organization; the starting point for every family's early intervention journey regardless of state.
